This store is aimed at the low income family. One of the excellent outcomes of this is that there are a LOT of specials and in general, you get a full trolley here for significantly less than at Indooroopilly (for example). One of the downsides is that in order to ensure that people with low incomes get access to the full range of fruit and vegetables, these are not the highly polished top of the range grade veg you would find at Indooroopilly. However, they might only cost 50c a kilo as opposed to $5 a kilo. There was a time during the drought that this was not working because the quality of the fruit dropped very badly, they're back to normal now. So you would expect to find huge displays full of discount priced fruit and veges here, and quite a variety of less 'polished', more 'rocklea market' type fruit and veges. It is an extremely busy store but it has been like this for over 30 years - it services families and so there are lots of families here - and a nice atmosphere goes along with that. But, with the extended trading hours a person can easily plan to go at a quieter time (after kids dinner/bedtimes) for a quicker, quieter shopping experience.

I went to this school 35 years ago! It was a great, small, school. There is the issue of Willawong Waste Management facilities being very close - these have a history of having toxic waste dumped/burned during the Bjelke-Petersen era and prior. There is still an unknown quantity of toxic waste buried in the area - they used to truck it in from all over the country. So the water table is unsafe - but apart from that environmental issue, the school itself is lovely.

This place was very pleasant. I found it comfortable and welcoming - brought a friend here who was visiting from overseas and we spent hours just sipping coffee and then later having dinner out on the couches. Nice way to spend an afternoon.

I particularly appreciated the fact that although we lounged about for a long time, they didn't ever place pressure on us to buy more food or to finish up - that's why we ended up staying for dinner!

Just an ordinary vet surgery. I was very disappointed with my experience at this vet surgery - but that's because I had expectations that they would be something more than the usual (average quality) vet surgery. I found they didn't even rate as average. There was absolutely no personal touch - it felt like a production line. Cat in, cat out, pay, leave...next. I didn't get to meet the vet doing the surgery. I had to deal with one vet to admit my cat, then collected him from a different vet who clearly knew nothing about my cat's surgery. I was then charged $100 more than I'd been quoted, and an additional amount in error that was refunded after I queried it. The client facing staff didn't fill me with confidence and at one point I stood at reception while the ladies talked among themselves for fully 3 minutes - and there were no other customers around and I had my cat recovering from surgery in a cage, waiting to pay and leave. When they finally did deal with me they seemed harried and defensive! Bizarre. I felt like an idiot for falling for the 'specialist' marketing. And boy, was it ever expensive.

I've been going to this business for 5 years. They are honest, do good quality work, and don't try to rip me off unlike almost every other mechanics I've ever gone to.

I have had major services, minor services, book services, wheel alignment, alternator reconditioned, new wipers, new lights, roadworthy, etc. All good quality, all reasonably priced, punctual, with work well described, and the business well organised.
