Staff are knowledgeable, and they have a huge amount of stock including books and mags. I would say THE biggest range anywhere. I've bought many fish from them before, plants, literature and food for my reptiles. EVERYTHING in the shop is expensive, and some prices have me scratching my head, I can't say I've caught a bargain yet. That being said, they have massive overheads to deliver this quality, and they are leaps and bounds ahead of the shameful dollar save/pet barn crew in East Maitland. Here's a tip, when buying fish or any pet for that matter, inspect the enclosure, look for the health of the animals. Hunter Pets will win hands down every time in that regard, and unlike petbarn, these guys actually know what they are talking about. I'll shop there again and again, because I sure as hell won't go back to petbarn East Maitland.

The food is pretty good. Try the burgers. I'll agree with the previous response, to a point, in that you do expect more from the portion sizes in the chips. I've felt ripped a couple of times when getting $5 worth of chips, however the seafood is fresh, he batter is light, and the food is filling even for small portions. The burgers are pretty massive too, but you can pay anywhere between $5-$8 for one. The packs are good value though and always full to the brim. Place your order, go for a walk, 10 mins later your food is waiting for you.
They can't be too bad, I always see plenty of customers there when I go past. Seems pretty popular to me so they gotta be doing something right eh?

I live in the area and have always had excellent service from the friendly staff. The pharmacists always have time for you and there are usually about 3 on duty.
They are also open 7 days a week from fairly early in the morning to about 5:30-6:00 in the arvo. After trying all the others in Maitland, I now only use this Pharmacy.
