My Bentley home is 6 years old now my experience from build to now hasn’t been a pleasant one, Here is my story.
I picked up several items on my final inspection which weren’t repaired by hand over, broken master bedroom window, hand rail for stairs that wasn’t stained or sanded properly which I was charged $800 for by the way the construction manager was kind enough to leave me the stain so I could re do it myself (Wayne the maintenance guy ended up having it fixed for me), mortar on brickwork was all different colours looked terrible like the brickwork had been repaired, wrong colour cabinetry in the downstairs powder room, Garage roof roughly painted, multiple windows scratch and multiple other paint issues gaps in brick work allowing mice to enter that house no mortar where pipes entered the house. Retaining wall had been hit by machinery and been gouged.
The day we moved in I wasn’t told that I needed to meet the plumbers to have the appliances installed, the A/C wasn’t working and they dropped the spa pump and broke it so no spa either and my issues hadn’t been fixed, still had a broken window ect. The house was pretty dirty when we moved in and so were the windows after cleaning them properly, we found more scratched windows that Bentley wouldn’t cover.
After living in the house a couple of days found floor tiles in bathrooms moving (this is still an issue today) windows weren’t opening and closing properly also doors not opening and closing properly either. The door furniture was fitted by the construction manager and his 15yo son(I know this because I happened to stop by while they were there), Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were poorly cut and touched up with black texter and all poorly aligned, The kitchen is of such a low quality we are currently saving up to have it redone properly. The shower in the main bathroom was blocked. The floor upstairs was uneven you could feel the joins in the timber lifting under the carpet. They misaligned the downpipe outside my bedroom window so they put in a 90 degree bend now when it rains it sounds like someone is beating a drum outside your window. Heating ducts for downstairs living area not connected. Shelves in ensuite vanity water damaged, bathroom vanity was coming away from the wall, shower in master bedroom not caulked properly. There are more issues to mention too many small things.
They repainted the mortar on the façade so it looked better and pulled up the carpet and fixed the joins in the timber. I took time off work so the windows could get repaired but A&L turned up and refused to fix the windows without scaffolding so it was a wasted day off work, the following week 2 different people turned up and repaired it using a ladder.
The repairs dragged on over a couple of months it was a year after the build that I got the retaining wall fixed after I said just drop off the sleepers and ill fix it myself.
Today 6 years on my windows have been an ongoing issue they are now falling apart and are being fixed under warranty I have replaced several of the winding mechanisms . I had 11 power points replaced last week due to poor installation , the backs of the power points were cracked apparently from being fitted with a power drill. I only noticed because 1 was crackling , electrician checked them all and found 11 faulty. There has always been a smell upstairs in the toilets, the plumber rang me today and suggested that it could have been a fault with the install. Rings back an hour later saying he wont cover me saying the house is 6 years old even though he admitted it could be an install fault. My heating isn’t working in 2 rooms which we have just started using because my toddler has just moved into her own room, found the ducts in the roof disconnected. I was quoted $800 to have that section of the house redone the company said it was poorly installed cheap ducting. Our appliances lasted less that 2 years Technika rubbish Microwave, oven and rangehood. I have heaps of drumming tiles that Bentley said they will repair. The floor upstairs is lifting again and is now noisy when we walk on it.
I was told Bentley were good so I went with them and I regret it every day, This is the type of quality I would expect from a cheaper builder and that’s what I should have done just gone with a cheaper builder for this kind of quality.

I ordered a 5 to 6 foot tree online...They sent me a 3ft twig from their campbelfield store...I got scammed big time. Paid $184 because I thought I was getting a tree.
