Ordered the prime rib to be cooked medium rare. Couldn't believe anyone could screw up a prime cut of berf but outback jack cannington proved me wrong. Meat was dry and hard to chew. Couldn't bring myself to finish the meal even after drizzling mushroom sauce to try and make it edible since the chef insisted "that was how its meant to be cooked". Coleslaw was off and smelt funny.

Higginson Arthur
My wife & I went for lunch 7th April for lunch, spent $97.35 were not impressed at all.
Both my Steak & her Pork was over cooked, chewy with rest of main very mediocre.
Only my wife was drinking alcohol so for the nearly $100 spent would not recommend for value either.
Only one person doing the till, servicing all tables for drinks & food, if he wasn't as good as he was the whole lunch would have been a expensive complete disaster.

Approximate cost: $100

Exceptional service.
Well set out menu, easy to read and go to the sections that take your fancy without having to read through lists of items.
Noisy, but not so much that it bothered us - it was happy noise!
We had one serve of Bruschetta for entree. Looked very appetising. It was nice, I found the bbq type sauce on it was a little overpowering. Little tomato in the bruschetta mix. At $13.25 for 2 pieces it was overpriced.

Really delicious garlic sauce with the main! I loved that it came out in a small single serve jug and I could taste the steak first before I poured the sauce all over it. Salad was fresh but there wasnt too much of it, a tablespoon or two of coleslaw which was average. Quite a watery type dressing, rather than a creamy style dressing. Garden salad was fresh, had the standard pub like balsamic type dressing on it. Chips hot and decent amount. Steak - nice flavour, cooked exactly as requested. Was nice but can get the same/nicer quality steak at lots of other pubs/cafes etc for about $10 less (plus it was $2.95 extra for the sauce). Was not overly fussed with the quality. It was just 'nice.'
Other main was steak and ribs. Steak, again, was ok. Ribs the same, a nice average. Quantity of the steak and ribs meal was good for a guy.
Drinks cold and came out quickly. Food came out in good time.

Cost/invoice:
2x wild turkey $18.00
2x Vodka Cruiser $18.00
1x Bruschetta $13.25
1x Steak and Ribs $42.95 (300g rump and 4/5 pork ribs)
1x mushroom sauce
1x Travellers Special $32.95 (250g 100 day grain fed porterhouse)
1x garlic sauce $2.95

$131.05 total for 2 people with 2 drinks each and a shared entree.

Summary: Really great service, average steak/food, wouldnt pay those prices for that quality of steak again.

Approximate cost: $20-$40

Decided to have a catch up dinner with friends and all our kids at Outback Jacks in Cannington. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, lively and fun and there is a kids play area to keep the little ones entertained. The food was great, steak nice and tender. Dessert was fab too (most of us ordered the sticky date pudding). We had to ask for the ramekin that comes with it though. All in all is was a nice experience.
