I was taken by ambulance to the Lyell Mac suffering a stroke, and from the very first I was treated very professionally. The doctors and nursing staff were exemplary in their care in the 5 days I was in their care. I saw the nurses working at times with uncooperative patients, and they're patience was amazing. I cannot fault any staff member that I came into contact with, and the doctors explained my treatment thoroughly. From the doctors and nurses to the rehab and physio staff, to the orderlies, kitchen staff and cleaners, I offer my heartfelt thanks. Peter Taylor L1bed 2.

I delivered my first baby boy at the hospital and Overall the Birthing Unit team that I got were extremely helpful. However, the midwife that looked after me when I got admitted was utterly unprofessional and rude. As soon as my labour started at 7.30 am she suggested me to take epidural and told me that you should ask for it now because it will take 3-4 hours to arrive as it was a public holiday and not many anaesthetists were available I asked her to talk me through how bad labor might get so that I can make up my mind. She simply said it’s different with everybody and can’t say anything.She did not assist me in anything what so ever. As I was bearing the pain, she refused to even look at me and was rather interested on her phone. Both me and my husband felt extremely neglected and humiliated as this was our very first time. Even at the end of her shift she pointed a finger at me and said next time listen to me referring to the pain relief, as I denied her suggestion in the first place. But, apart from that particular Midwife everyone else were very professional, they were there beside me during the birth of my son after that midwife left. I was in labor for 12 hours the first 7 hours were a disaster but the second half was completely opposite. Thank you to the Birthing unit team and thank you especially to the Doctor who helped me deliver my soul.

I was in LMH for 17 days the care Doctor Clare Ewen & Doctor Andrew of Doctor blue team for ward 1B are the most caring and helpful Doctors you could ever ask for also the Nurses Alexander Kontos, Teagan. Wendy, Karren 1 & Karren 2 Red headed energizer bunny, Sophie, and all the other nurses I was cared for by are all fantastic. Cleaners from ISS do a great job although the meals are hit and miss as quite often the things you order don't appear or are substituted but I suppose the try.

I have spent a lot of time at this hospital, and the majority of the nurses are very kind and always take a few minutes just to have a chat. The doctors are very good at their job, but a lot could do with some training in bed side manners. Overall this is a hospital you can trust. But like most hospitals, if needing to go to emergency you will be waiting for awhile.

I was always a big supporter of the Lyell McEwin, I worked there myself years ago. My partner was in there for a few months recently and I was very disappointed with the standard of nursing care. Most of the nurses are quite nice people but they really need a shake up of their basic nursing skills.

everytime my little girl has been sick and had to been taken to emergency ive taken to lyell McEwin. never had to wait long and the doctors and nurses have been great all the time.

Fantastic Maternity ward and women's and children's services. Had my first child here and experience the absolute best services i could. Birthing rooms are fantastic and staff are super friendly and helpful. Would recommend to any expecting mother in the area.

Big hospital servicing salisbury/elizabeth area. Very busy emergency department, can expect fairly long waiting times. Staff very helpful and approachable.
