We recently visited for the 1st time, with a group of 8 of us from SA. It is one of the Melbourne attractions you always hear about, and see pictures of in advertising for Vic. tourism, so we were really looking forward to this visit.
Happy to say, we weren't disappointed. The place has heaps of character, you feel like you've stepped back in time 70 years. Some of the rides look a bit rickety, but I imagine with oc. health & safety so strict nowadays, they would be safe.
You can have a lot of fun for not too much money (or you can spend a heap if you want, too, I guess). Fun even just to sit and watch the activities going on.
Food we tried, typical fair food, heaps of batter, too dear, but thats part of the experience, isn't it?!

I have been to Luna Park several times and it truly is Melbourne's fun destination no. 1 for young and old. I also bring all my guests to this place, because it is a must do during a Melbourne stay.

I have to admit I haven't tried and probably will not try this 100 year old white roller coaster, but I would definitely recommend the Enterprise experience.

Entry to the park is free, so if you are not in the mood for a ride, just walk around and buy yourself some fairy floss!

This place is heaven for kids and for those young at heart.. A place where fun starts as you enter.. I been here several time and just love it.. its truely heaven on earth for me... good entertainment, rides, strolls..etc

A fun day for the whole family. There are 18 different rides through the Park including Scenic Railway, Carousel, Spooky Ghost Train and lots of thrill rides and high speed ride. Don't forget the hall of mirrors too. Also don't forget the dogem cars.

There is a definite excited buzz through out the theme park. When you walk in, everything is so close together in a small place which makes it feel like there isn't much to do, but as you walk through the park you realize there are heaps of rides! Our favorite is the Scenic Railway Roller-coaster. The operator that we seem to encounter is so friendly, he high 5's the little kids, makes jokes with people as they wait, and really interacts with the crowd. We found most of the staff to be helpful and friendly too. We will be back!

Yes some of the rides are a bit older, but its still a fun day out! If you go in early you skip all the massive lines, theres plenty of variety, food and drinks are expensive as expected, so take your own.

Not very impressed at all

The rides are outdated, the lines are too long for the price you pay and the staff look like the most unenthusiastic workers I've ever seen!

The only good things is the location

A great place for a day out. You can have a look around and not pay however i recommend getting in line early if you want to get tickets because i made the mistake of walking around first and then when we went to line up the line was out the door.

When I first entered here and the rode the rides, it was great! The service was fantastic. Everyone here had a smile on their face. As well as that, they made me laugh. On the other hand, the food here was expensive, but a great theme park to hang out.

I've been to Luna Park several times over the past 15 years and it hasn't changed much. The food is expensive and not very good, but many of the rides are awesome. i personally am a fan of the mad mouse, although it's called something different, it's their best ride by far.
