What a joke this is!!! Just came from Lollipops at Strathpine and was told I had to pay a Saturday rate of $12.90 and not the $8.90 school week price because today is a public holiday even though it is NOT A PUBLIC HOLIDAY IN STRATHPINE as STRATHPINE IS NOT IN BRISBANE! At first they were trying to argue that it was. Strathpine is part of the Moreton Bay Council. Then claimed that it was because all schools have a pupil free day today, which is not true either. Normally they charge $5 on a Wednesday which is why I organised a group of us to go (11 kids in total). After management was called, they still wouldn't adjust to their advertised price of $8.90 (both on-line and on the sign in store) and kept it at $12.90. What makes this deplorable is that they had already charged the Public Holiday rate on Monday (their actual Public Holiday) and wanted to double dip in the same week by charging a 'public holiday fee' on a non-public holiday day. A bet they didn't pay staff any extra penalty rates. They also didn't mention the 'August Madness' promotion either which launched today whereby you get a half-price return entry for every full price admission. I only found that out when I looked up their facebook page today when I got home. They at least could have done this.
They certainly have lost this customer and will organise groups to meet at Chipmunks down the road instead. Not good enough Lollipops!

My son and I love this indoor play centre. It's really spacious comparing to other indoor play centres. Like the set up of the toddler area, great for the little ones. Their food menu is not over priced either. Quality is good comparing to other ones I've been to. But would love to see more healthy choices for adults.

Well from first impressions says alot for me. My daughter and i arrived and the fact an adult has to pay to get in is just rediculous. Yes i know u get get a coffee voucher thats just their way of getting money out of u!! Im sure most mums agree play centres are all expensive to eat at often not that appetizing. And i no its a rule but what if ur kid had an food allergy?? I didnt buy anything. Of course your not allowed to bring in outside food as i got told! I was asked to put away my daughters banana.

Approximate cost: $8.50

Hi,

Thank you for your review. The reason we curve adults to come in is that we are the only Playland in Brisbane north that allows adults on all the equipment. As you have stated, we do give you a drink voucher for a tea, coffee, can of soft drink, bottle of water or a popper.

We allow puree'd foods for infants, teething risks and bottled water/milk.

Our menu consists of healthy options such as fruit, fruit salad, rice crackers, salads and MYO sandwiches.

If we cannot cater for a specific allergy or dietary need, we allow food to come in but ask that it be brought to our cafe and plated up.

We hope to see you again and I apologise for any misunderstandings.

I think most play centre have a rule about not bringing your own food, it's frustrating. I hope it will change one day. I would rather they just increase the entry price but allowing we bring our own food. So more healthy choice for us.

I have 4 kids so places like these are perfect for me to catch up with a friend without the kids getting bored and driving you mad. Great review

Been a regular customer since opening, with two boys aged 7 and 8.. always a fun time, and healthy food options.. great. The no sock no play policy is enforced as are the age restrictions for the various play areas. Service is as good as possible, with smilesvall round

Approximate cost: $30

Excellent play equipment especially for the little ones. I love that there's a proper dedicated space for them and not just an after thought which so often is the case at play cafes. Love the pirate ship ride!! Very worth the drive. Friend had their kids birthday party there and the guy looking after the group was fantastic.
Food is slow though and is unhealthy. Would love to see healthier food options for the kids (and adults) if you aren't going to allow parents to bring in their own food (apart from squeezy tubes).

Hi Pauline, Thank you for your review, we have been complimented about how we offer healthy options on our menu. If you would like to see something different on there, please feel free to talk to us and we can see about placing your suggestions on our menu.

Very happy with Lollipops Strathpine! I've taken my 18 month old son a few times now and he has a great time. They have a pretty good area for the little ones, with a range of different things for them to play with and explore. I've always found the play areas are clean and safe. The prices are good, they do different deals on week days that are worth checking out, and the cafe is pretty good too.

They have a pirate ship ride now aswell that seems to be a big hit

Great first time experience here!
Took two five year olds who thoroughly enjoyed themselves for over three hours. It was a busy Saturday morning but there was ample seating. Reasonably priced food and drinks. The milkshakes were delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean environment and facilities.
We'll be returning soon!

Approximate cost: $About $25 for two 5 year olds

Thank you Michele, we appreciate the feedback. We look forward to seeing you back here soon. Especially now we have our pirate ship in and working.
