We used serendipity in 2005 for our wedding photography. It was Ok on the day of the wedding, but the aftermath was traumatizing and incredible.
We never ever did get our album from these guys, despite having paid them for it. The after wedding day add on sales, the mess in the shop, the rudeness was incredible. I remember being asked to view the wedding photos on a small laptop with the pictures still side on. The screen was so covered in fingerprints it was almost impossible to see the pictures. We were expected to crane our necks 90 deg for 6 plus hours to choose photos. [name removed] refused to accept our choices and wanted to put in photos we didn’t like because she liked them. These was no client toilet even though we were expected to be there for many hours at a time. More money was demanded in order to get the photos we wanted included. It was dreadful experience not at all what we had paid for.
Shortly after we “settled” on receiving a disc with some raw untouched images and no album, partly because we refused to give them more money than we had signed up for, and partly because we just didn’t want to have to deal with them anymore. The then high st Armadale business went under & “ shut down”. At this point I recal being phoned by the “ a current affair program” asking if I would go on tv to talk about the debacle as they had many unhappy customers.
We were outraged to the discover that the business was shortly to reopen under a very similar name in an adjacent suburb. We then realized there had also been a previous location where the business had also stopped trading with little notice.
Just seeing this business name and hearing the business owners names mentioned sends a shudder down my spine.
This was a hideous and horrible disappointment.
