I purchased a Blackberry from Personal digital a few weeks ago.
The phones were clearly marked that they were Hong Kong stock on the website, so I enquired about what exactly that meant and they assured me that not only would they send me a power adapter for the foreign power plug but that the installed language would definitely be English.
Unfortunately when the phone arrived it did have it's promised power adapter however it's installed language was Cantonese/Chinese.
Luckily I came across a great Youtube video that explained how to change the language back to English step by step and I advise anyone else in a similar situation to do the same.
As much as it was a great annoyance, with all of that said; The price was right, the phone arrived on time and well packaged and the online customer service staff were very helpful and quick to respond.
I would recommend the seller, just with caution.
Approximate cost: $300
Overgrow has one or two people working at once, I mostly dealt with the owner. He was friendly and knew a lot about plants, he redesigned my garden using all water saving plants. He also didn't go over his original quote, which was a nice change, and is coming back to my house on a monthly basis for touch-ups. Highly recommend.
Approximate cost: $30/35 p/hr
It's a small place, with two or maybe more qualified hairdressers, and some trainees. They always seem to listen to exactly what you say, and won't make a big cut unless they check it out with you first. I haven't had a bad haircut from them, and a friend of mine maintained his emo-style hair using their services. I recommend them for quality and price. Lovely ladies too!
Approximate cost: $30/60+
I heard great things about this place but the only good thing I ate was the delicious entree. My carbonara was watery, a friend's calzone was nothing but mushroom and my other friend's pizza was ok, but certainly not $18 worth.
Approximate cost: $20/30
Better than average Chinese food, and cheap. Hardly ever busy and the service is efficient and polite. They have most of the standard menu items, including some vegetarian options. I always go here for easy Chinese.
Approximate cost: $15ish
Delicious food. Lots of variety made quickly, and so cheap! Most people use it for takeaway, but you can dine in and it's usually quiet. Offers a tasty vegetarian selection also.
Approximate cost: $15
Great meals throughout the day, I'd recommend breakfast or dinner there. Wonderful range, and all the dishes are cooked beautifully. They seem like they should be more expensive than they really are. Pick nights when it's not so crowded though (most weeknights are fine), as the staff aren't great at keeping track of you when it's hectic.
Approximate cost: $20ish
I love this place, but I find it all depends on what day you go as to your satisfaction with service. The food is always impeccable. Delicious, a bit on the small side, but that's what fancy places like that are like. Or so it says on TV. Their duck is supposed to be one of their most famous dishes.
Approximate cost: $20/30+
Best dentist we've been to in awhile. He's friendly but he's all business. Doesn't overcharge, or make lazy mistakes. Will definitely continue to go there.
Approximate cost: $50ish
Not the fanciest place in the world, but if you're not as rich as you thought you'd be by 21 it's perfect. The best location; it's quiet but a short walk away from the City and Bridge Rd. All the necessities are available including a laundry. And they often have special deals. Like I say it's not the Hilton, but a huge step up from backpackers and only a little more expensive.
