Bibina stocks an amazing range of items that are difficult, if not impossible, to source anywhere else in Newcastle. Their computer system/check out counter looks like it could do with updating as at times the staff struggle to find items in the system or to use it…..but all in all a great store. But be warned! the chocolate room can be very addictive ;)

Visited this winery for the first time during the Easter break, the decor and atmosphere had a quaint rustic feel to it and the staff were friend and helpful without being pushy. Unfortunately the wines that we tasted were not to my palate but would certainly give it a repeat visit in the future.

My absolute favourite winery (and wines!), the staff are very accommodating and friendly and have a wealth of knowledge about the wines/regions and products. If you only visit one winery on a trip to the Hunter Valley, make it Peppertree!

Our very naughty little dog decided to help himself to a rather large Cadbury Rabbit, (and YES totally our fault that he was able to reach this!) hence how we came to meet the team at NAEC. The staff were all very kind and helpful in a rather stressful situation (oh and did I mention that he HATES people! and so requires a muzzle….small dog syndrome). Considering that it was 7.30pm on a public holiday I didn't think that the cost was too exorbitant, even though he possibly would have been OK without treatment as it was only considered a moderate risk of toxicity given the quantity that he consumed, it simply was never a consideration not to go ahead with treatment and the cost for peace of mind and security was well worth it. A huge Thank You to the team at NAEC for the fantastic work that they do but I certainly hope I don't need to visit again for a while ;)
