I had one broken ,sparking power point, one dodgey outlet that zapped me when I tried to run the microwave off it and one internal garage light that had been snapped off at the ceiling with a ladder. I called two other electricians and left messages, no response.Luke responded promptly and showed up exactly when he said he would. He was courteous and good humoured. One of the outlets involved crawling round in a very spidery and cramped area under the house. He was very tidy, no little bits of wire and plastic left behind. I will absolutely call him again if I need electrical work and I would highly recommend him. He charged $150 and I felt it was very reasonable for the work done.

The Beer Engine is a new business, habing replaces The Hills Bar and Kitchen. What a transformation ! The dining room which was dingey is now light, spacious and fresh. The menu is not extensive but it is simple food, simply delicious. I had a chickeh salad which was fresh, tasty, light and satisfying. My sister had a parmigiana .She said it was perfectly cooked and the crum was just right, crisp and delicious but not greasy. Her chips were crisp and delicious.
The service was excellent, friendly and interested without being over the top. We will be going back as regulars and I don't even drink! By the way the coffee is good too.

Had a pair of lined woollen pants cleaned. Fabric looked smooth and new. Pressed perfectly.no overwhelming chemical smell.
I was so pleased that I returned later in the day with a heavy jacket. This outlet also has a window display of wedding and debut dresses for sale, also other formal gowns and suits. The display changes regularly and prices mostly range from 400 to 800. High quality dresses. The staff are friendly and helpful

This review is for Antenna Installation Today , Brighton QLD

I had no TV reception at all when I moved into my home last year. The service man was prompt and courteous. He removed part of the old antenna and replaced it with a new component.
He could easily have charged me for a wholw new antenna and I would have been none the wiser. He also explained that I would have no receprion without an amplifier. He told me it would look like a telephone charger and suggested that I look in all the cupboards and garage to see if it had been put somewhere by the previous owner. He suggested that I try to contact the previous owner because sometimes owners or removalists pull them out and do not know what they are so they just lie around in someones miscellaneous box. The service man did not try to sell me am amplifier until he was certain I did not have one. I was happy with the price of $220 and pleased that I could pay the bill by bank transfer.
I would recommend this company

I have admired this pub from the bus for a long time. It looksw so cosy and welcoming. The interior did not disappoint. Little window tables, pretty much any sized group can be seated easily.Lovely fire place. There were several family groups there the evening we went. The kids at the next table were really enjoying the pasta.
It took three repuests before a bottle of water appeared.
We had grilled barramundi .Mine was served with salad and my sister had chips and veg with hers. Mayonnaise on the salad as well as a cup of tartare sauce for the fish. not sure about that. Fish was a smidge overcooked and it took a long time to get our meals. The meal was OK and I would probably go there again but not a wow experience

My girlfriend and I lobbed in at lunch time without a booking. The restaurant was very busy and we were prepared to be knocked back .Right behind us was a group of seven people without a booking. Yhe one and only waitress consulted the one and only chef and they let us all in.They took the unexpected addition to an already busy lunch time in their stride. We were served in a timely manner and the food was delicious. I had a moroccan chicken and salad. My friend had seafood. There was a wonderful pecan pie for desert, we saw others eating it but resisted with difficulty. The coffee was good too. The ambience is warm and friendly , the prices are reasonable and the menu has variety without being overwhelming. We felt warm and welcome. Will be going there often

This review is for The Food Lounge, Monbulk VIC

verified email - 04 Jun 2013

If you want speedy service this is not the place but if you want to be looked after by a lovely older gentleman who really cares whether you are happy then this is the place to go. The food lounge is very spacious so there is plenty of room for a bunch of friends or a family group to eat their fish and chips or burgers inside ,out of the cold.
The coffee is good to. I went there with my sister for breakfast. My sister wanted a bacon and egg mufin but the gentleman showed her the muffins and said he was ashamed to serve them because they were so small. He offered the alternative of toast or a hamburger bun. I wanted the bacon and eggs without the bread so he cooked the egg in butter for me to make it taste nice. My sister likes her coffee scalding hot but he didn't turn a hair at her request. He was very anxious to make sure that we were happy with our choice and said if we didn't like it we would not have to pay.
We did not spend much but he treated us like valued customers.
A couple of days later I took my grandchildren in for milkshakes. The same gentleman was courteous and patient while they tried to make a decision on what flavour.
He made conversation with them and called them by name when he said good buy. They felt very grown up and important

This review is for Paddys Plants, Monbulk VIC

verified email - 03 Jun 2013

I often pop inro Paddy's plants because they have displays of "specials" out the front with some things in the $2 or $3 range.
Inside there are sections for each price range so if you want to buy a $6 plant you can do just that, with a range to choose from.It is easy to find your way around.
Matt and or Tracey, the owners, can be found in the little hut beside the footpath or amongst the plants.
They are unfailingly friendly and pleasant.Regulars always get a discount without even asking. No one leaves the premises without being thanked for stopping.
The nursery is between the Monbulk Sylvan Rd and the Olinda Monbulk /Belgrave Monbulk roundabout, not far from Mountain Grande Tearooms

This review is for Grant About The House, Olinda VIC

verified email - 02 Jun 2013

I asked Grant to quote on three jobs that I wanted done.Cleaning gutters, repairing a subsiding verandah and fixing a light socket. He came to quote exactly when he said he would. He cheerfully gave me a written quote for each job and did not pressure me to do anything immediately. He said to call if and when I was ready and the quote would stoll be good in a years time. I was most appreciative of this because I have limited funds and need to plan payments for repairs.
The prices quoted were very reasonable.
Grant was pleasant and helpful. I have booked him to clean my overflowing gutters on a steep block for$150 .

My 5 year old grand daughter fell in love with a fluffy "breathing" puppy. She had less than two dollars but was allowed to laybuy the precious pup. It took many weeks of payments or a hand full of coins but we got there. The little girl was allowed to pat her toy every week and the sense of achievement she felt at paying it off was magic. She was always treated with patience and made to feel like a very important customer. The whole experience was priceless
