Very trendy and also quite a loud room for some reason, so even if it is not that crowded it can be hard to talk to the people you are with. Great Pizzas in the restaurant though. They used to have a cheap pizza and beer on Tuesdays but I think it has finished.

Great nachos pizza! Sounds wierd, but that is how it is meant to be as they have a wierd pizza menu and a normal pizza menu. Mostly take away, but there is a bench table out the front that you can sit at to eat your pizza if it is a nice night. They don't seem to mind if you bring along a beer to have with the pizza!

Great little burger place that have burgers that are a bit more gourmet than your average fish and chip shop. Also quite good to eat in as they have a room out the back with a few tables and some newspapers if you are there on your own. The burger with brie in it is great.
Approximate cost: $10
Great place - typical Melbourne - laid back and friendly with great service and lots of comfy couches etc to sit on while you have a beer and a meal. I want to go there now, but I am in Sydney! Oh well. Good for a date as it is not too crowded and you can have a conversation.

As the name suggests they pretty much only service BMWs - which is good because it generally means they are passionate about them. Car always gets a clean after it has been there too, which is good cause I don't clean it enough! On the whole very happy with their service. I have not had much go wrong on my car, and only potential complaint is that they fixed the clutch slave cylinder about 4 years ago and it died again about a month ago - I would not expect to have the same problem so soon. I was in Sydney at the time, so I didn't take it back to them.
I don't eat at flash restaurants that much, so I though it was expensive! but I think if you are after a nice dinner it is no more expensive than its peers. Food was great. The waitress told us what a genius the chef was! Had a few extra things to try between courses which were yum. Overall excellent.

Was a great place for a good value meal with great atmosphere and then they extended it about 10 years ago to make it twice as big and it has never been the same since - still good value, but feels more like a cafeteria now, rather than a cosy place for a coffee. Still good value though.

Word has quite a few DJs (I think they are one of the bigger DJ companies in Melbourne), and we had Sean for our wedding who was great - we didn't give him any specific instructions except that we wanted everyone up dancing and he read the crowd perfectly and the dance floor was full all night. Not too cheesy either - not too much grease megamix!
Approximate cost: $1200
It was our wedding, so I have to say it was great!! but it was. I had fun anyway! Service was great, food was excellent and the dance floor was getting lots of use! Only slightly disappointing this is the accomodation there - there are two new villas that are great, and four older ones which are a bit overpriced since they are dated and need a freshen up.
Good value, great atmosphere, on Lygon Street, but away from the lasagne strip. Great for a quick dinner before a movie at the Nova.
