I went to this cafe/restaurant on a blind date with my "now husband", and we go back every year on anniversary as well as the occasional lazy dinner every few months. The food is just great, had a change of owners last year I think, and service has improved greatly, the staff are all really friendly and attentive to the customer's needs. They have a diverse menu and wonderful desert display also. It's a lovely quiet out of the way place, lay back kind of atmosphere, homey, quiet and comfortable. Good if you just want to get out for an hour or two.

After our dog had a major accident we were referred to Dogs In Motion for physotherapy, we noticed improvement in mobility just after a couple of visits. The therapist was very gentle with our small dog and we were given home exercises as well. They also have a great swimming pool set up there although we've never used it, but it's very entertaining watching the pooches enjoy the hydrotherapy.

This must be the best place I have found for Fish'n'Chips. I find it especially hard to get crumbed fried fish, this place does it magnificiently. Ther fish servings are always really genearous and their chips are to die for too. The owners have changed but the service is still spot on, and you never have to wait all that long, even when they are busy. Definitely worth the visit.

Our little dog was maulled by a larger dog and practically ripped to shreds, I thought we had lost her for sure. We raced her to AEC in Hallam as it's always open 24/7 for such emergencies. She was admitted immediately and spent 4 days there. All the staff were just so wonderful, you could not imagine how supportive they were, and they have the very best facilities with an intensive care unit and onsite pathology, we even got to visit our dog during her stay but they are strict on visiting hours! We are lucky to report that our dog made a full recovery thanks to AEC.

I found this great beautician in (of all places) a Tattoo Shop. It's not the most glamorous of places, a little room in a tatoo shop, you can hear the buzzing noise and chit chat of people having tattoos or piercings done, but their beautician there is really great - Sara is her name. She does everything from eyelash and eyebrow tints, and all types of waxing. I've been going to her for a few years now and her work is great quality, and prices are really really affordable. If you dont mind the atmosphere, it's definitely worth a try.

This place offers lots of services like nails and waxing amongst other things, and upon first impression when you walk it you think this is a swanky place with the relaxing music and water trickling etc. I go there just for the waxing, but every time I have gone I have come out looking totally different every time, and no where near what I asked for. I can ask for the same type of waxing each time but get different results, I think some of the staff are quite junior and may need more training, and I have bruised up quite badly a couple of times now, so may look elsewhere for waxing services. Overall I was quite disappointed especially for what you pay for the service.

Once you shop wholesale you'll realise how much supermarkets rip you off. We get all our meat from Tasmans, we try and buy bulk also to save even more, and the meat just seems so much fresher and not watery like in many butcher shops. There's always lots of stock so you get your choice of cuts if you're fussy.

Ming's would have to be one of the best chinese places (food wise) in Narre Warren, what they lack in in-dining experience they make up for in their dishes. We mainly use them just for take-away, they are not the cheapest but the quality and quantity of food is by far the best, the mean they use is really really lean (I am fanatical about meat and dont like any fat and grissle), I can safely say all our meals have been A1, their beef in black pepper sauce is my personal favourite. We always get little freebies with our orders, like the obvious prawn crackers, but sometimes they slip in an extra dim sim or spring role when our orders are large.

We've been getting our take-away from Arya for over a year now and they have a great variety of dishes at reasonable prices. We decided to treat ourselves and dine in one evening, the service is really good and meals are quite quick once you order, it's a little more formal / upper class than most of the other Indian restaurants in the area.

We were looking for a place to custom make some cupboards and benchtops but all the places on the internet for flat pack seemed a little pricy and not exactly what we were after. We found Melboards, they were able to custom make exactly what we wanted for well under any price we'd been quoted, they have a fantastic range of laminate and benchtop samples you can choose from and take home with you before you decide. All the staff in there are really helpful and they take as much time as you need to answer your questions. We've use them for complete fit out of our laundry and bathroom cupboards/benchtops, now just about to tackle our Kitchen. If you're looking for a place that is cheap on price and great quality, and you're willing to do the installation yourself, this is a great place to start.
