5kW system installed neatly and carefully now six ago and everything performing to expectations and installer advice and predictions.
I have had prior experience with solar on another house and it is good to see the standards have come up a long way. This installer is a stickler for ensuring that the "hidden" problems ( racking, cable sheathing and connections) were never going to become problems.
Took a small 4WD drive for general service and when finished, collected vehicle read the report and saw:
driver's seat loose.
This was NOT attenended to and I fixed it at home - about 30seconds. I would have thought a safety issue like that woukld have been done as a matter of course, not part of a report of things to do!
The process of buying a PV system is still not easy. Price can be a consideration but how do you know whether the system will do what the installer claims?
With Sunday you do because an essential site visit is made, the house direction accurately measured and the size of system designed is appropriate for the user. Attention to detail is second to none.
This is a REAL grocery store. The veggies are fresh and of excellent quality. They have spices and dry food beyond belief. A gold mine for those who cook Asian or Middle Eastern Food. Alongside is good butcher and cheese shop. And you can eat lunch there! The prices are sensible and lower than the big two.
The Teriyaki beef dish ( the beef part) was about 50% fat and inedible. It was my first visit and in a hurry to get home. The speed of service was excellent so I might give them another chance.
Approximate cost: $12.90
Theo deserves to be recognized for his pizzas and the way he runs the business. Its a fast food place with a major difference. Style and variety. Great to sit outside on a summer night if you don't mind the highway traffic.
Approximate cost: $20
The proprietor Glen has been servicing my Land Rovers for many years and I cannot fault his attention to detail. He's fair and will always source cost effective solutions and parts.
He also service prestige vehicles like Jaguar, Benz and other high value marques.
The feeling of personal care was overwhelming. The treatment was second to none - massage is an art and Ingrid has the art and more.
I felt elated at the end and will return for sure.
I was insured with APIA, a Suncorp "brand". I suffered a repairable write-off. Not my fault. The vehicle, a Land Rover Defender was insured for $11400. Not the agreed value, the one they forced on me. Repair estimates came in at $12K+. I chose to write the vehicle off and I had it inspected by Suncorp's examiner and he assessed the "salvage" value at about $2200. i.e. the price it could fetch at auction "as is". So I accept. I speak many times with APIA and every time I get the story "you will be paid $11,400, and one of them asked for my bank details. Weeks elapse, no payment. Rude staff on the phone ( note: all recorded for "training" purposes. What a joke.) Eventually I was told, the matter was being reviewed. At NO time did they ring me. Not once.
I finally got the message that the payout was to be $11.4K minus the salvage value. I have to agree and payment was made later.
I took the vehicle to a Land Rover specialist and got some excellent work done, plus a new tray. I was about $500 out of pocket all up.
Take home? Avoid Suncorp and any of their brands. Choose an insurer who offers you a realistic agreed value. You know what you can sell your car for - so they should insure it for something like it. Cheap premiums are just that. And you think its better for the Over 50s. No way.
