I wanted to buy some oysters and prawns for a special meal for my husband's birthday recently and thought this would be the best place. It was quite disappointing to find their prawns were priced at $56kg. Oysters were ok, plenty of frozen seafood, staff didn't seem very interested. Purchased some oysters and left.
Our local bakery is so busy on the weekends, you can hardly move yet it doesn't seem to take to long to be served. I was just after some loaf of bread and some delicious grain rolls for lunch. Prices were good, picked up a few small cakes as well. Very tasty, nice staff.
My husband and I were out and about and really felt like some chinese food, unfortunately they were closed but Magnums was open and fortunately not too busy. The staff were welcoming and the menu looked great. We decided to share a pizza and it was amazing, exceeded our expectations. They had a specials board and everything looked great but we were set on our pizza, no regrets.
My friend and I were about to embark on some grocery shopping but decided to enjoy a relaxing coffee first. We sat outside but soon moved as we could smell the fresh seafood from the Octopus's Garden next door. Inside was much better, more comfortable, pleasant smelling. The staff are always nice and coffee perfect.
Such a pleasant supermarket, very clean and friendly. Prices are very good especially their fruit and veg. The deli has a huge variety of meat and other specialties. Plenty of savings in this store and if you are a pensioner you will receive a 5% discount on wednesdays & thursdays.
Our local pub has been very busy with some amazing renovations and a new chef offering the most delicious salads and a fabulous new menu which I am sure will be pleasing to everyone. Some meals are a little pricey, but so delicious and very nicely presented. i love schnitzel so I ordered the Bushman, this is a must, so delish, topped off with a fried egg. My husband tried the black angas steak 300g with hot mustard, loved it.
Tuesday is seafood night
Wednesday is $50 family night - 2 Adults & 2 kids
Thursday is $13 schnitzel night
The staff are lovely and the owners are such nice friendly people.
We had booked into the Meridien down the road and was after a few refreshments and snacks for later in the evening. The store is quite well stocked and prices did vary quite a lot. Many items out of date or close to it, service was almost non-existent, no friendly hello, thank you, nothing, we seemed to be a bother really. I thought she would have appreciated some business as it was very quiet.
I had been enjoying my coffee and sometimes cake here for many years now but the other day was so disappointing. My coffee tasted like coloured water, barely any coffee at all, almost tasteless. Service was slow and not friendly, may be they were having a bad day, but it better improve or I wont return.
Still the friendliest butcher offering the best quality meat around at very reasonable affordable prices. I often call ahead to make sure they have the american ribs I am always after because they do sell out quickly. I tell them what time i will be in and they are nicely packed and ready to go. Always delicious.
Still offering delicious wholesome chickens, consistently high quality food and service. Chips are also great, nice and crispy. Wait times to vary as they can be very busy, but well worth it.
