Redcliffe has a little problem. Because most of the business in restaurants is done on the weekends, on weekdays they employ people with less ability. Even a chain like Hog's Breath serve poorly cooked meals Monday to Thursday.
Weekends is okay, but weekdays it should be avoided.
One of the most famous places to enjoy seafood in Sandgate. Highly recommended. Though you might always want to grab takeway and sit in the park by the sea.
A great little Ethiopian restaurant. The best option is to try the group platters so you can try a range of different dishes.
It is best to order your dishes with bread. This injera bread is made from fermented wheat. You use the flat bread with your right hand to pick up the food and eat it.
A great cultural experience.
Oh no, yet another generic Italian restaurant serving bland Italian food that you could cook better at home. Though of course they charge more than the meal is really worth it.
Broadbeach is becoming like Surfers. Restaurants like Uno, with no character, charm or innovation.
The owner seemed to be upset that we only ordered a light snack. We would understand if they were busy, but most of the tables were empty.
Approximate cost: $30
Vegetarians looking for a cheap meal should always be thankful for Govinda's. Great Hare Krishna vegetarian, though that means....gasp...no garlic. Still a great place for a cheap meal.
If you love organic produce you would be better off buying your daily needs from the supermarkets and fresh fruit and vegetables from the markets.
Flannery's is overpriced and the fruit and vegetables are rarely good (given the quality of organic produce in the markets, there is no excuse).
But Flannery's is good for special items. Even if you don't care about organic, the range and quality of their gourmet products makes a trip to Flannery's worth it.
Great place for a real massage. I went in with shoulder pain and came out feeling much better.
This is a great place for a quick and cheap meal. That is my motivation, even though it is a vegan cafe. They have great salads as well as various hot vegan dishes (the pies are okay too).
Stay away from their vegan desserts. Really not very good. But everything else I love.
Chermside is defined by the Westfield, so you would expect everything in this are to be bland and dull. But Cantina 817 proves this not to be true.
This lovely little cafe has a great feel with tapas, coffee, meals, burgers, smoothies etc. They also have a takeaway counter for the weekday lunchtime crowd people people passing on the way to the bus stop to the city in the mornings.
Highly recommend this cool cafe.
You would think that if you went a restaurant called Chatty Girls, the owners would be both girls and very chatty. While they owners are guys they are friendly. The name actually comes from one of the owners daughters who are the eponymous chatty girls.
Anyway, they do pasta, it is okay, but the quality can vary. Worth checking out for cheap pasta in Redcliffe.
