Love the live music and so many cosy places to sit. Good coffee, although the food can be a little hit and miss at times. Nice staff.

Good atmosphere with the live music. Food was pretty good, had one of the specials of the day. Dessert was a bit of a letdown, the cheesecake didn't taste the freshest.

Great place to go for a good cup of coffee! Food is pretty good too. The only problem I have with this place is the surcharge they have on eftpos even when you pay a decent amount of money (over $40) for their food & drinks.

After my last few visits to tilleys I have decided to completely avoid this place in future, or at least until there is a turn over in staff, the service was very poor and the staff unfriendly and rude. The coffee and food was nothing special but overpriced. I have been going to tilleys for the past 10 years now and it's such a shame it has declined so much in recent times. At the very least maybe the staff can crack a smile would make a big difference.

After hearing a lot of hype about Tilley's, we went along for a try. The staff were friendly but slow in serving, and the food was average and definitely not worth the price. The curry was bland, and my steak was nothing worth paying for. The atmosphere was OK, although without a band playing at the time perhaps it picks up. I wouldn't bother going back.

The meals were good. However they were really expensive, and on public holydays they charge a bout 3 different fees, so at the endo you finish paying 5-10 dollars more fore your meal. The staff is not really friendly, it feels like they don't care about you.

Approximate cost: $30

I LOVE this place. Everything about it is great.
The food is delicious, breakfast especially.
Ambience and atmosphere are great.
I have been to Tilley's probably 25 times and never been disappointed. I would definitely recommend booking ahead because it is ALWAYS really busy.
A few downsides - they don't have any high chairs for small kids, and the toilets are quite dated and a bit yucky. However it is so worth it!

Approximate cost: $Moderate.

I'd always loved going to Tilley's but I think their reliance on an old menu is slack. Maybe keep the basics but how about offering a selection of new dishes too? The toilets need a serious update. Rustic shouldn't be confused with not wanting to spend money to ensure customers are cared for and the premises are the best they can be. On the plus, the staff are usually lovely, good music is played and they have fantastic coffee. It is a shame they don't have the dinner-shows anymore. They were a real draw-card for me.

To be fair, the food isn't bad and service is quite good. The down side is the non-alcoholic beverages... from chai latte to other teas, they're quite weak. Coffee was decent though. It would have been better if the seats were updated -- some were in serious need of a new cushion.

Interesting rustic ambience at this gem of a brunch place just off the beaten track. The breakfast offerings are tastier than most similar places. Drinks are pretty meh though.

Approximate cost: $17
