Very talked up on social media which got me pumped to go here. Food looks great but made me feel sick and absolutely not worth the priced they are priced at.

Really popular cafe, nice food but may be a little crowded at peak times. Great place for brunch!

Really hipster place with a nice atmosphere however the place was crowded which made the service a little slow.

Was really excited to go to this place and was definitely glad I did! Although my expectations were too high, the food was delicious and look amazing too, not to mention the friendly staff and the amazing building.

Was excited for this place because their food looks really good and so does their decor, but was disappointed with their food. Expensive and not great

It's tough competition in Melbourne, to have a good breakfast cafe. Kettle Black do a pretty good job. They're amazingly busy, so expect to wait. We waited for 25 minutes and ended up being seated at a table that was empty the whole time, but we had time to kill so that doesn't matter too much. The food was delicious and had the usual mix of interesting grain/ health salad, fresh fruit concoctions with tapioca/ sago/ oats etc, and the assortment of bacon and egg creations. I had a delicious ham hock dish which was fresh and full of flavour. if you're in the area and want to try somewhere hip at the moment, head on over- perfect place to stop after a jog around Albert Park lake.

Approximate cost: $20

Loved it. Run by the same team as Top Paddock, and the class really shines through. I found the menu to be very innovative and potentially even more adventurous and original than the original cafe. Ie. King Island crayfish in an ash roll with native coastal spinach, lime & yuzu mayonnaise ($21), OR Wagyu skirt steak with house-made mustard, seasonal fruit relish & leaves on a black bun ($23). Not cheap but definitely worth the money spent.
