My family company has been involved in the construction industry for over 40 years and our experience with Sydney Jetties is one of the worst we have had. We engaged them to build marine landing steps at Drummoyne on the Parramatta River and the work was supposed to be completed by July 2021 but they took until July 2022 to finally complete the work. There was no end of excuses from them about why the work was delayed and we spent an inordinate amount of time chasing them up to attend to the work.
When the project dragged on for many months, we had to instruct our solicitor to put them on notice, but this still didn't improve their response.
For over one year, they failed to respond to numerous emails, sms' and phone calls. On many occasions, they said they would be onsite on certain days but they didn't turn up.
Their lack of diligence in completing the work was staggering.
We are glad the ordeal is finally over.
