Being a selective school and at the top of the state, there are high expectations for NSGHS. What I find most commendable about the school is the sense of school spirit and community among the girls who are always so proud to say that they attend this school. The students are generally very all-rounded, excelling academically, musically and in sports as well.
Unfortunately, the school's grounds are very small and pathetically sized for a high school. The teaching staff are great but are not overly strict with students' attendance so there often tends to be cases of truancy.
Otherwise, North Sydney Girls is a wonderful school which produces many fine young women and I recommend it to any mother looking for a high school for her daughter.
