Great food at reasonable prices. Good entertainment. The staff are nice and friendly. Felt wicked the moment I entered the hotel.

This is not a bad pub however at times it tries to be a little too classy for its own good. It has an interesting menu which is a but more expensive than normal pub prices but it doesn't quite hit the mark. They also have an issue with guys no having enclosed shoes after 7 on a Friday and Saturday which is a bit silly for a suburban pub, especially when you are still allowed in the restaurant.

good service, nice place, open and friendly atmosphere. enjoyed the trivia night. plenty of parking. i liked this pub and would go back again if it was closer to home (and walking distance so as not to drink drive :-)

Approximate cost: $20

I generally didn't go here for the food - I went for the comedy. Every week they have an amateur stand-up evening, where you can hear local comedians try out new material and practice their bits. If you go for the comedy and grab a couple of drinks while the sets are on, you've got a decent night out for not-too-shabby a price. Admittedly, not all of the comedy is great - but you get what you pay for, and all in all, it's a good night out, especially if you go with a couple of friends.

A recent promotion (free soup of the day) led to us trying the Newmarket Hotel's restaurant for lunch recently. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and the efficient service. The restaurant is fairly spacious and airy and if you want, you can also go and play the pokies (we didn't).

The Newmarket runs trivia and many other promotions so it makes an excellent 'local'.

Parking is free in Reading Centre and the restaurant is easy to access.

This place has everything going for it. I mean everything. But the price they want for what they give is unreasonable! Nice atmosphere most of the times and the drinks are pretty good on a friday night.

If you are going to the hotel for a meal you will find good pub food - however it is quite pricey. But in terms of going for a drink at the pub it is great - on friday night there is $4 basics and a good live band in one area - though there are other quieter areas if you want to catch up with friends.

Approximate cost: $25

If all you want is a drink, this is a great pub to catch up with friends at, although they often have large sections of the bars cordonned off for functions.

The food however is quite disappointing. All they are serving is standard pub food, but charging restaurant prices for it. I refuse to order meals here any more as a result

Approximate cost: $25

The staff are genuinely friendly and aware of the surroundings. Drinks are made with love and a pleasure to down.

I went here for a quick catch up with friends after church. The venue is quite nice for socialising on a Sunday night. I only purchased a drink so I don't know the quality of the food on offer. Pricing for drinks was fairly similar to other hotels I have been to. Drinks service was a little slow though.
