This bakery has now shut down but they still have their bakery on the main highway

Every time we go through Waikerie we stop here for a pie and coffee. I love the steak cheese and bacon pie and hubby gets the chunky mushroom pie. Coffees are quite nice but you do have to ask for the sugar to be stirred. If you are in a hurry or too lazy you can use their drive thru service. Thats right, drive thru service. They have lots of variety of hot foods, cakes and they do pizza at nights, they also do asian rolls and vietnames rolls. You are bound to find something you like. I bought a loaf of bread once and it was sweet taste, but next time it was fine.We called in yesterday again. This time decided to have a kitchener bun but eat it there. I took mine upto the counter and asked for it to be put in a bag so I could take it home. The plate she had put it on, had so many chips around it you could not hold the plate without touching one. I counted 15. I asked how can you serve anything on this plate. I said I dont even do that in my house. You know what she did with the plate, put it in the sink. FFS. I'm ringing the manager today.

I love their food, its different to whats usually available locally and tastes so good. My son loves going in there to see the fish and have a look around. could be a little more colourful and look less like your sitting in a boring food court.

Had an awesome vegetarian pastie here over the Easter long weekend. A huge dining area and friendly service made this an overall pleasant experience. Lots of items to choose from; fresh or packaged. Worth a visit when next in Waikerie!

We recently stopped for lunch on our way from Mildura to Adelaide at New Land Bakery (24 MCcoy St). The decor is basic and the area spacious but is more than compensated for by the quality of the food and excellent, friendly service.We were very impressed with the quality,flavour and value of the pies and vegetable pasties and even stopped in for lunch on our return trip. We also had the egg and spinach quiche and the chicken and prawn rice paper roll. The quiche was very tasty with plenty of tasty spinach and the rice paper roll was tasty and fresh.A surprising and great find.Well done.

Newland Bakery which was probably better known and recognised as Waikerie Bakery is now under new management. We have been to this bakery a number of times now and make this an essential stopping point for food and a drink whenever we are in or travelling through the area. Great array of pies and pastries, sandwiches cakes and more and a good range of hot or cold drinks all at very reasonable prices. Well worth the stop.

Tasty food always the place to stop for lunch! The kids love the play area! Most of the staff are wonderful, and the food is great best pasties! Even a walk outside the shop to see the river out the back is wonderful couldnt believe it when i seen it!

I hadn't been to this bakery for a couple of years as I wasn't too keen on the pastry they used for their pies/pasties. Today I went back in there to grab a pie & see if any changes had occurred. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had changed the pastry to a really tasty puff pastry that I thoroughly enjoyed. The filling was also tastier. I was engaged in an informal 'chat' with the staff member who was 100% friendly. Glad I gave them another go!
