When we first came to Sydney nearly 20 years ago we trusted this company with our taxation returns. In 2006 we were advised by them that we need to go to financial planning stage with them. I took the guidance and advice of this company and did, I was advised the property purchase was a wise investment under the guise of a superannuation model, in a development where due to limited building prices would be of value long term, I was advised that trees were a good tax effective investment, I was advised that a mixed share portfolio under a mid risk appetite was a wise investment, that was in 2006. Our assets were in a downward spiral and due to lack of interest from NWF I took control. In the last 2 years without their advice I sold the investment property losing $150k in super, trees are suggested to be worthless another $80k and I shut down the investment portfolio as it was in deep dive and got out with a $40k loss. Total out of pocket est. $270k or almost 75% of my working life super. I sacked Nationwide. My new financial planner is brilliant in comparison and I do not too many years left to now financially recover.
