My family has been FOTZ for many years now and have definitely reaped the benefits of this program. They offer a whole heap of exclusive benefits, not least of which is free entry to Melbourne, Werribee and Healesville zoos as many times per year as you want. You also get priority access, as well as access to school holiday care programes (which, based on the experiences of my sons, is both educational and rewarding on many levels). On our recent trip to Werribee Open Range Zoo we were also offered participlation in making toys and meals for the monkeys (which we declined due to time restrictions only, but its an example of what you can get access to that general punters cannot).
Unfortunately my boys are now getitng to the age where we probably wont renew our membership, but I can hand-on-heart say that its been a very worthwhile exercise, and as long as you go to a zoo more than twice a year it pays for itself.

I have been a member of Friends of the Zoo for two years now. It is the best value option for someone who loves going to all three zoos in Victoria. I tell all my friends about this and now we can all catch up for a cheap day out.

I purchased this membership a few years back only for 1 year and loved it! it was a good opportunity to go and visit the various zoos around melbourne and enjoy a fun day out.

Will definitely consider getting a member again in the future.

Have had a Friends of the Zoo pass for two years running and it is better value than just paying the entry fee.

You get unlimited entry into all three zoos in Victoria, plus entry into other zoos interstate like Taronga, Dubbo, Monarto, Adelaide and Perth.

You easily get your monies worth plus you also get 15% off in the zoo shop.

We have just joined friends of the zoo again for the second time and it is even better value then it was 2 years ago. It cost us approximately $280 for a membership for 2 adults, 1 child 4 yrs and 1 child 2 yrs. This memberhship gets us free entry to melbourne zoo, werribee zoo and healsville sanctury. You can go any time you want, as many times as you want, with no extra charges. The kids love the zoos, and it becomes a cheap day out for the family. We always pack a picnic lunch and by the time 12 months go by we have had loads and loads of outings and well and truely got out monies worth. You pay per person, so smaller or larger familys would be a different cost.
