Second time unlucky, Degani's. First time our orders were wrong and we were told we were wrong.... OK.... not the right way to go about it but nonetheless..
Walked in with a friend a few weeks ago and was ignored by the staff waiting to seat us (playing on their iphone), so we seated ourselves and waited. Waitress came over 7 minutes later with a scowl and asked "what do you want". We said "2 hot chocolates, please" with a smile, and got an even bigger scowl. Not even a "ok no worries". Just walked off. Then when our hot chocs came out, one had spilt down the side as they were carried and there was no attempt to apologise for the poor presentation. Lady still scowled. Kept getting looks as we tried to enjoy our drinks- we weren't being loud or obnoxious, or anything. Literally just sitting and drinking. As we left, the manager gave us a nasty look too- we were two, well dressed uni students with nothing to hide and only our smiles and money to give. What the heck?!
at least the cashier had a joke with us and smiled nicely. Won't be going back, pretty disappointed.
I go on a regular basis with friends. The food and service is great. The food on the specials board are always interesting and tasty. Their coffee is great too
Love this cafe they have amazing meals that arnt ridiculously priced and I always leave so full and the staff have bright bubbly personalities I highly recommend eating here

We go there every now and than after shopping at Uni hill very friendly staff and affordable food,love there coffee and cake!

Lets start with the good stuff.. nice stylish design, and the cakes.. awesome,
But I was dissapointed at this degani! I was looking forward to this degani as westfield plenty valley's degani is GREAT! But the staff @ uni hill are snobby,rude & unwelcoming. And the service was too slow!! And far too overpriced, who pays that much for a salad Wouldn't go back

At this sunny lovely Saturday 5:00pm I think it is a good idea to have Degani coffee, so I went to university hill Degani which is walk distance to my home. Also I have a lovely Degani Loyalty Card 10th free can use.
So I went, ordered my coffee and show the staff my Degani Loyalty Card. The nightmare start from here, the staff told me I can not use the card at University Hill Dagani as it is not their stamp. The staff said they have black stamp which is different from what I have. I explain that on the card it is black and write written “Purchase nine coffee’s and receive a regular coffee for free regular cafe at any degani bakery cafe†and I redeem it before at University Hill never have problem with it. The staff who is in charge of the night do not want to listen at all. He said this is the decision from the owner and he can not accept it. At the end, I paid my coffee after half hour argument. I have to apologise to the customer who viewed everything and get disturbed by the argument. As I said to one of the customer, it is easy for me to turn around and walk away leave the hard time to the next person, but I am choose to fight for my right.
From my knowledge University Hill Degani can not refuse me to redeem coffee, if they do so then the words on the loyalty card is a misleading advertise. It is also impressed me of poor franchise, management as the franchisee just do whatever they want.
