I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions. It is a nice place to stay when you want to explore the city for a weekend. There is so much around to do - it's impossible to get bored. The room itself is pretty basic, but well cleaned and furnished. I reccomend requesting a window room as the views of an evening are beautiful. They usually offer some packages that include breakfast down their mesh restaurant - the breakfast is pretty good. All in all, it is always a pleasurable experience to stay at the promenade and I will continue staying there.

Approximate cost: $250-500

The location is excellent - close to shopping, casino, restaurants and the Melbourne Aquarium. Buffet breakfast in restaurant yummy and good selection of dishes. The room that I stayed in was quite spacious with modern decor.

Approximate cost: $400

Crowns middle of the range hotel, quite classy and modern. The rooms are nice with great views. The room service was quite slow however and cold upon arrival. I have also stayed recently in the new version of the chain, Crown Metropol and that is very urban chic.

A great location and heaps to do in the complex.

Approximate cost: $450

Its not what all the hype is about, average room, expensive prices, condition not as i would have thought, perhaps you need to be in a suite to expect better. Would have been cheaper and more comfortable to stay at home

I found the room quite ordinary for the price of $270.00 I felt you were paying only for the name. Service on front desk was excellent. Carpets were all lifted up in hallways and near lifts which I find unsatisfactory, we also lost power in our room and housekeeping/service desk seemed very uninterested in getting the problem fixed quickly as there was no air conditioning. Also another $23.00 for valet parking, should be included in hotel charge.

Approximate cost: $300.00

Staff on the front counter upon arrival did a good job of "upselling" a "better" room. It was a little like "did you want fries with that" service at a McDonalds drive through but none the less the room was great.
