Although old, Canterbury Ice Rink has the best value skating in Sydney, especially int eh school holidays- $20 will get you a lesson and the rest of the day skating. That can be up to 5 hours worth. It can get a bit crowded sometimes. The staff are friendly and caring and so good with all those folk with little to no confidence on the ice. They were very nice to the friends we were with who were celebrating an 8th birthday- offering an unprompted gift which was a lovely surprise. My daughter was skating with aplomb after the hour lesson, thinking she was an Olympic champ.

Approximate cost: $20

Sorry, I don't agree at all. $20 for a days skating is very good value when compared with other venues. THe staff have always been friendly and good at building confidence.
