I got my first home built by Burbank in Reflections Estate, Tarneit. I was very happy with the outcome to start with but problems started as soon as the 3 months warranty passed. The carpet in all rooms started showing big loose creases. Looked like it was laid by someone who has no idea or experience in laying carpets. Its a shocker. Door handles started falling off and taps are leaking under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Since the builders warranty had passed, i have to get the repairs done at my own cost.
The biggest shock was when our garage roof collapsed due to heavy rain. The RACV home assist guy advised me that the roof guttering is not done properly and its the builder's fault. Burbank people TOTALLY REFUSED to accept their fault saying should go to my insurance company. I had to hire an independent inspector who gave it in written that it was due to 'building defect'. Otherwise how come a barely year old house's roof collapse that easily. The metal sheet wasn't big enough to handle the rain water and it over flowed and entered the ceiling. What a mess.. Burbank finally accepted to fix it after i threatened them to take them to court since i had a letter from a professional stating that it was there fault. It was finally fixed after 6 months and no one cared to ask me how the job was going. After 6 months i had to remind them that they left the ceiling without paint. It was painted after a month from then.
4 months after that, the heavy rain caused another ceiling damage, now, at the other side of the house. Its in a room on the opposite side of the garage. Same issue. The roof guttering wasn't done properly. Have to go through insurance again as Burbank wont listen or send anyone to have a look at it.
So basically i paid $240000 for a cardboard house. Every time it rains heavy, we all get worried and look at the ceiling all the time to see where its getting wet from the water leakages. Poor quality house, POOR SERVICE, WORST COMMUNICATION. The warranty department people are rude and show no compassion. It proves that once all the money is given to them and we have taken the keys...its not their problem AT ALL.
I run a business and had got one of my employee to build his house also with Burbank during same time whilst mine was being built. Had another 2 cousins wanting to build their houses from Burbank. But i told them not to after this saga. Its not even a company but just a group of independent builders working under one name. Left hand doesn't know what the right had is doing.

04/01/2010 - moved in
March-April 2010- Multiple door handles started falling off
July 2010 - Carpets are sagging everywhere. Big looses creases forming in each carpeted area.
20/02/2011 - Garage roof collapsed
15/09/2011 - FINALLY garage roof fixed
26/12/2011 - Bedroom 2 ceiling water damaged
In last year and half i have fixed the leaking sinks at least 5 times.
I will never use or recommend Burbank to anyone.

we are first time home buyers,spoke to a wonderful sales agent in Tarneit Charles and lovely finance advisor Aldo Rigos who made us feel so comfortable. Charles sent us to see a display home in Gardenia way in Caroline spring which we liked very much. we then went back this morning to re - view the house before we make our final decision .when I asked the agent there, (did not get his name was really rude and racist!!) with just one question which is "how much is the width required for the essence 2900," he asked if we have seen somebody from Burbank which me and my husband answered yes and mentioned Charles and Aldo's name.. He then said "OH! TYPICAL FILIPINOS..TRYING TO GO BACKDOOR !! with his mocking grin.. We were shocked!! that I just marched away with my husband..and now ..I'm considering not to go ahead with the contract..I know its only one person but he speaks volume for the company..if we have been discriminated by a front line person, how much more with the people who will be working behind the project..I just glad that I haven't sign a thing yet
