I'm going against the grain here but I just don't see what all the fuss is about. Everyone raves about Brunetti but I don't think it's worth the hype. Coffee was average and the cakes were okay, but nothing special. There are far better offerings available in Melbourne.

I love the new Brunetti's store in Melbourne CBD. Just off Flinders Lane the inside is really big and goes all the way back. Great selection of pastries and treats and coffee is delicious.

Delicious coffee with a wide range of amazing desserts. A must try if you're looking for a good spot for lunch/brunch/coffee in the area.

Great desserts and treats for a really reasonable price. The Brunetti store is famous in Carlton but recently opened conveniently in the heart of the city!

Super fantastic!! I bought the profiterole cake for my sister's birthday, she loved it so much she had to bring the remainder into the plane she was boarding that night so she can tell mum and dad overseas how good they were!!

Approximate cost: $30

Love having coffee there when in city, it is good and quality coffee. Always so busy, in summer it is awesome to sit outside but in winter if you get lucky sit under heater and watch people passing by, so interesting and relaxing. You have to wait until someone gets out so you can sit inside. Like this iconic café.

Tucked away on one end of the city square is one of the institutions of Melbourne's cafe society. Brunetti's original cafe is in Carlton and has recently moved back to its original location. But from time to time I will stop by the one in this location (or at Myer - depends how far away I am!) and enjoy a hot chocolate and a piece of cake and spend some time chatting with friends watching the world go by.

The place is more al fresco which means that there's really not much seating indoors and it fills quickly. So most of the time we end up outdoors which is fine so long as the weather's not too cold or hot.

The menu again like Myer is limited however is just enough to allow you to find your favorites which for me include cheesecake/pear crumble, sacher torte, and opera cake along with a mug of hot chocolate just hits the spot. On a Summer day and Ice chocolate with the cake makes a better option.

The prices are not the cheapest, then again not the most expensive for what you pay, however as mentioned before, there's really no change from $12 but the quality of what's on offer is well worth it and the location is great to watch the world go by.

Approximate cost: $12

The best part of this outdoor cafe on a cold morning are the heaters. If you manage to get a seat under the heaters it is lovely and warm

I do agree with some of the other reviews in that it would be good if they provided table service. However the coffees are quite good.

Satisfactory cafe for a gathering for our team from work for coffee and cakes. Ok service and cake and coffee about what we expected here. Nothing outstanding here but good for a local gathering.

So disappointing! Used to love to go to the Carlton shop, their Black Forest cake with white chocolate was a particular favorite. Was very excited to go to this store but its a very poor replica and the service isn't great

Shame to hear it wasn't up to standard
