A lovely break away was spent at Acacia caravan park in one of the very comfortable cabins which are well laid out and furnished with everything you'll need. Stayed in a similar cabin at another park, but this one seemed newer and the bedroom was not so cramped. Main bedroom has bedding on double bed, kids room you need to take sleeping bags etc - comfortable seating and equipped kitchen. There are also caravan sites but not too many - being a smaller park adds to its charm and convenience and there's also a camping area for tents. A cabin at around $100 with comfort is good value compared to about half that much for a site when you've got more than one person and no hassle of putting up or taking down a tent. Pets are allowed on sites but not in cabins.

Attractive children's play area and fenced pool and the whole park is neat and tidy at all times. There's a camp kitchen and free BBQ's and lots of trees for shade. Very friendly and obliging owners and it was very easy to book on line as well.
The location is great because you're so close to Ararat itself and the lovely old building and historic opportunities there as well as a good base for touring around.

Definitely will be coming back for a longer stay with more family members next time.
