Wild Wombat Cafe & Bar, Hurstbridge

I have eaten here with my family and with girlfriends and every experience has been an absolute pleasure. The owner and his staff place great importance on service & customer satisfaction. So much so, they have recently made some great changes based on survey results from their mailing lust customers.

The food is always fresh, great quality in generous but not oversized proportions. They welcome children and the place has a really lovely atmosphere. Couches & tables inside & the balcony outside offer seating options. We love Wild Wombat!

From the moment we walked in until we were finished, our dining experience was awesome and would recommend it to everyone. The staff were most welcoming and the food had a fine dining feel. The parma was the best I have ever had, my partner had beef wellington and loved it although it was presented different to what he has had in the past. It was actually better he said. The chicken crepes are fantastic, the mixed berries crepe is the best and the coffee is top blend.

Came in for dinner as a group of 4 and we really enjoyed our dinner. It was quite a surprise as we have heard alot about Wild Wombat but never gone so we decided to try it out. The pesto chicken and beef wellington were excellent as were our starters of bruschetta and crumbed mushrooms. The wine list and beer list was also very surprising as we did not expect an extensive list.

Apparently this cafe has only just opened a couple of days ago, but WOW.....the coffee is one of the best I have had in a very long time. The cakes are homemade and taste better than the bulk orders of cakes other cafes have. We also had sandwiches which were also great. Fantastic place, great atmosphere and looks like the place to be in the summer as it has its own balcony.
