Salon Lavan, Elsternwick

My first impression was very positive and the service is sensational! They really look after you well there and Lee has to be the best in the business!!

No one else works as hard as Lee, her large clientele only proves that she is popular within the industry and always satisfies her customers!!

I always walk out of the salon and turn heads in the street after having my hair done at Salon Lavan! 10 out of 10!!!

I read so many good reports about Lee at Salon Lavan on WOMOW, just had to try for myself. I was not disappointed! Lee is a wonderful hairdresser. I had half head of foils and trim. Very happy with both. Thanks WOMOW!

The owner, Lee, is fantastic - so professional and genuinely loves her work. I had a horrific experience with a different hair salon and was a bit nervous about visiting this one, despite the rave reviews. I'm happy to report that this salon was a great experience, right down to their massaging chair - which is nothig short of heaven! The salon is clean and well kept, the staff friendly and easy going and the result was beyond my expectations. Very happy - will definitely be back!

I went to Lee after reading all the fantastic reviews here on Womow. I must admit, she is a really lovely person and has a beautiful salon and gave me a great cut, but she did not do a good job on my color. I wanted to go blonde with all over highlights, and when I left it looked like I had just had a few highlights done, but I was still brunette. I was sort of alright with it at the time, but when I got home I noticed that the whole back of my head was a weird orange color and there were streaks throughout my hair and bands of color all on the sides. I was horrified :( I felt terrible because I never spend money on my hair, and the one time that I was treated as a present to get my hair done at a salon it was ruined. I went to another salon the next day and paid $400 to get my hair redone and fixed as much as possible. The hairdresser said that the color had bled out of the foils and that is what created the weird bands throughout my hair, and she said it looked like an all over color had been applied to just the back of my head where it was all orange. I only wanted all over foils to go blonde, not to end up with weird streaky orange hair :( I was so upset, but I'm a very shy person and couldn't get up the courage to call Lee and tell her how I felt. Also, Lee charged me $220 to which I gave her $250. I should have recieved $30 in change but I was only given $20. Again, I didn;t realise this until I had left. Lee was very nice to me, so it's hard to write this negative review, but I would hate for the same thing to happen to someone else.

Amazing is what I can say about this salon, After receiving one of the worst haircuts from another salon in Elsternwick, I went to Salon Lavan after reading the reviews on womow and meet Lee, she is amazing and so is the salon. She made me feel right at home, it's like you have been a friend for years. The haircut i recieved was excellent snd the service is second to none. I would recommend Lee and salon lavan to anyone. You can belive what you read in these ratings..

I've being seeing Lee since the start of the year, after about 4 years of jumping from hairdresser to hairdresser. These reviews speak for themselves, but she really is an artist, the salon is lovely and the hair you walk out with is top notch. Promise.

Being new to Melbourne I was very hesitant about getting a bad cut before finding my stylist... lucky for me I found WOMOW and made an appointment with Lee. On arrival she put me at ease straight away, the salon was so clean and tidy yet warm and welcoming.

I told Lee that I was very happy with my current look but it had been some time (March, 09) since it was last cut and just wanted a 'trim and tidy up'. I have very thick, coarse, curly hair and have had my fair share of bad cuts in my lifetime, and I style it to be worn straight.

The hair wash/massage was to die for, the reclining chair meant my neck was saved the torture of tilting back. She set to work and all I can say is WOW! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have a fantastic cut and am so lucky I found Lee! I was all done in under an hour, normally I'm still there for a good 90mins to 2hrs!

What's more her prices are fantastic, I'm used to paying a lot more in NZ and I look forward to going back, time and time again!

I can't say enough! Lee is very warm and welcoming and really knows what she's doing!

Lee has been doing my hair for the last 12 years. I don't even have to tell her what I want - she knows. She has a great eye for knowing what will suit and what won't. I have very straight hair and she know's exactly how to cut it and how to colour it. When at short notice I need my hair done, she will always squeeze me in. Would be lost without her! Service is impeccable - caters for all! Love her to bits!

Salon Lavan is amazing! Fantastic cut and colour. I have fine hair and in the wrong hands it can be a disaster - not so at Lavan. Lee gave me great advice for the cut and colour and I left flicking my luscious hair as if I was in a shampoo commercial. The colour is also perfect. My 3 kids had their hair cut too - 6, 10 & 13 years old. They loved Lee who spoke to them like they were grown ups about their hair and style requirements. She totally related to kids and gave them up to moment cuts which are still appropriate for kids. They also loved massage chair, playstation and lollypops. Salon is beautiful, fresh and spotless - flowers everywhere. Reasonable cost. A pleasure to be a client!

What an amazing experience...Lee is fantastic. She knows what she is talking about, will honestly give advise and genuinely wants you to walk out of there feeling the best.. I have been to Lee 5 times now, after sticking with the same hairdresser for 7 years, I decided it was time for a change - best thing I ever did. Lee, thank you for continuosily providing the best service...
