This place has great food and even better service, I love it. Misty is a cool lady and I personally I love how she's ''a little over the top'' - it's all good in my opinion!!

The decor is awesome and it was nice to see some Americana. The owner is a bit over the top. The food is pretty good and as close to American as you can get when it is prepared by Aussies. Some items are a bit pricy.

Oh, by the way, Aussies don't prepare the food, I do . and If I don't they, the non Aussies. use my receipes, and I don't have an Aussie in the Kitchen. What was the reason you do not want to use us again?

your an idiot and dont know what you are talking about, the owner is lovely and extremely helpful, and if you can see an aussie in the place serving or cooking then you are twice the idiot and blind as there is not a single aussie working in the place,

Why is this guy an idiot just for voicing his opinion if all they wanted was glowing reports then dont put themself on the site.I admit some of the comments seem to be a little off the mark from my visiting there but the rest is personal opinion and you need to let people voice opinion without jumping down their throat

The best fifties themed place there is, they stock all well known American brand foods, soft drinks, chocolate bars. The servings are huge so don't over order or be prepared to share. Try the Texas chili fries!

Misty's is a 1950's themed American diner with amazing food and great customer service. The employees actually look like they enjoy their jobs. They even have an indoor playground for the kids.

We had buffalo chicken ribs and they were wonderful the fries and gravy were to die for. I live in Sydney my daughter lives in Melbourne and we love to go to Misty's when I visit. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

As an American in Melbourne I was very much looking forward to eating at Misty's. The milkshakes were out of this world- and very filling.. but the price of the burgers and mozzarella sticks were high, considering the quality... It was a so-so experience. I'll probably go here again because like I said, the milkshakes were phenomenal and the ranch dressing they served was best I've ever had.

I have to say after reading all the glowing reviews on WOWMOW, I couldn't wait to try Misty's. I read the menu online and it sounded great-I have been to the USA and it seemed authentic. It started well. The diner certainly has a lot of character, and you feel as if you are genuinely in the States. The service is also friendly and staff seems very eager to please. Unfortunately what let the experience down was the food. This may also be authentically American, as American food has a reputation more for quantity than quality. The french fries were great, but the burgers were disappointing. I felt that the quality of the roll, meat and fillings was similar to what I would expect at fast food restaurant (where you are paying $3-$4 for a burger)-not that of a cafe where you are paying $12 for a burger. In my opinion, gourmet burger places such as Grill'd do a better quality burger for a similar price. Of course, the other dishes on the menu may be much better, but I can't say that I'm in a hurry to go back and try them!

I love misty's! Absolutely amazing food and so much to choose from. As a homesick American I love buying the drinks like Canada dry and getting the Whatchamacallits. Yum! The moz cheese sticks with ranch dressing are to die for, and the thick shakes are awesome. I usually try to leave a small amount of american money as a tip when I go since the food and service are always awesome!

Very friendly staff. Misty herself was even there to greet us and make us feel welcome. The diner felt like a little community.

I've never eaten in America, but this was a great experience.

Plus they had all the Seinfeld classics: Junior Mints, 3 musketeers etc...

was wonderful misty is great and the kids loved the food as well as my hubby and i and i am pregnant and the food went down well, i love anything american and love there food, i would definately fo there again we are from greenvale near tullamarine and it was worth the drive down there and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was cooked just right and the price was also very reasonable
