Misty's 1950's Diner, Prahran

I've been to Misty's before, more then a few times. Each time was Perfect Service & Deliciously Tasting Food & Quick!

However, this time.. due to the busyness, the food took quite a while to receive & because we had more then 6 people in our group... the waitress urged us to go to the front & order. It was way to crowded up at the front to order. I was embarrassed, because I had given the people I brought with me such a high review about this place. They became very dissapointed afterward. After a while though, the waitress saw their faces.. and decided to finally place our order from the table, instead due to the overcrowding at the front. I've eaten here before.. and the food was certainly a lot better last time. It seemed a bit overcooked & burnt around the edges of the platters we received.

Despite all of that, I'd still recommend going there. They seem a lot more concerned & helpful then other restaurants I've been to.. and that certainly counts for something! The Shakes, Rootbeer floats (spiders), Hamburgers & Jalepeno Poppers are Incredible!!! My advice to readers is, if you want great service, try to avoid going on a busy Saturday! :)

My partner and I dined for lunch on Saturday 14th August. I thoroughly enjoyed my Misty's Special burger? egg done as requested. I also enjoyed my usual Capn' Crunch & Peanut Butter thickshake. We are definately regulars!!

Another great meal at Misty's ! Misty's Monte Cristo was absolutely deeeelicious, and the Misty's American Style Burger yummy !

Also thanks for moving us to a booth, from the table.........the booths are so comfy !

Unique. Good service, friendly staff, decent portions. Awesome pork ribs! However location not the best.

Loved it! We went for a birthday celebration and we all had a good time. So many food choices on the menu, friendly staff (especially Misty). Some confusions with our order as we had 2 people take our orders, but it was quickly resolved with a happy attitude. Plenty of seating so I didn't feel cramped. Unfortunately our request for a booth wasn't done when the table was initially booked a few days in advance, but after speaking to staff, they quickly organised a new table for the group - no hassle. We were helped out by staff with our food choices and were made to feel like we were given personalised service. They also arranged a special treat for the birthday person in our group. The food was great, loved the American style menu, reminded me of my visit to the States a while ago. Treats, sweets and drinks at the register for you to purchase also made the experience exciting. Would love to go back for another Misty's Diner experience!

I visited here first a few years ago and loved the experience and the variety of American food that seems so strange. However in recent visits, due to exploding popularity, it's become very busy, and thus the service has been a bit slower and not as great as could be.

Still definitely a great experience. I'll just ensure to try and go when it's not a peak period like a Saturday night.

The food as Misty's tasted fine, however the customer service needs to improve.

My partner and I waited in the diner as per the instructions on the sign, to wait to be served. There were staff walking around, they didn't seem interested in greeting us and we waited for 5 minutes before someone came to speak to us. The waitress, who had an American/Canadian accent didn't look busy and there was a guy behind the counter who refused to make eye contact with us.

When the server brought our food over, he almost knocked a can of soft drink over however I was able to catch it in time, otherwise we may not have been able to enjoy our lunch.

I also think thick shakes are definitely not worth $8. Sure I'd pay that if it came with a shot of alcohol but not a thick shake with a few pieces on chocolate.

I know you're being as authentic as possible but please don't forget to train your staff.

food was absolutely delicious. Cocktails were awesome!. Never had a better dinning experience anywhere.

This is a great place to go for a fun meal - the food is excellent and quirky and the atmosphere is fantastically fun!

Misty's diner is amazing and Misty herself is simply beautiful.. amazing American candy to be purchased and awesome American drinks.. my absolute favourite place to be..LOVE YOU MISTY!!!
