This is the nearest Asian restaurant to where I live. I grew up in Singapore and Singaporean food is my absolute favourite. I'm on a continual quest to find decent Singaporean/Malaysian food in Australia but don't usually have much luck. I was excited to come here after seeing the glowing reviews on other food review sites however after having eaten here many times, I would say the food is pretty good but not what I would call great; admittedly I do have quite high standards.

I've tried several dishes: the chicken rice, beef rendang, kueh teow and hor fun are mediocre and a little disappointing. The Hainanese chicken was slightly overcooked and lacked flavour, while the rice tasted rather generic and lacked that special taste. The beef rendang had a quite tasty gravy but had a few too many fat and gristle pieces. The kueh teow with clams felt too greasy and stodgy and the clams did not taste fresh. We ordered the ginger beef hor fun as a takeaway and it was way too gluggy and lacked any ginger taste.

What I do like here are the Nyonya mee hoon, the laksa and the crispy mee hoon. These are the dishes I would order again. The Nyonya mee hoon is a spicy stir fried vermicelli dish and has an authentic flavour. I particularly admire their vegetable laksa which has rich and delicious soup with plenty of veggies. They put aubergine in it which I find unusual but delicious. The crispy mee hoon is technically not crispy, or spicy, but is very satisfying with pieces of chicken and calamari in a tasty broth, served over the fried noodles. We also liked the dry fried beef with hor fun noodles.

This place can be noisy in the evenings. My partner dislikes the ambience (he doesn't tolerate noise well) so we get takeaway. I've noticed it is quieter at weekday lunchtimes. Closed on Tuesdays, dinner only on the weekend.

One of my favorite Malaysian place, they serves one of the best Hainanese Chicken and Char Kway Teow. I usually order my char kway teow with clams and chillies. They are busy on most nights so best to book ahead to avoid waiting too long for a table. Sometimes when they are too busy the waitresses could become very rude.

This is one of my favourite Malaysian restaurants.
Frequented by many Asian families and international students.
Get there early for dinners on Fri and Sat to avoid the long queues. Love the curry laksa and hainanese chicken rice.

value for money and a very authentic Malaysian cuisine. Is not very spicy eventhough you ordered curry dish because I reckon they cater for the majority of non-spicy diner. Overall is good food.

The malaysian food is really authentic and serving portion is reasonable. There are many waitresses available so you don't have to raise your hands up for too long to get hold of their attention.

I would not give this restaurant a rating of 5 on value. Take away containers were filled half way. We were very disappointed and left hungry. I thought I paid full price not half.
