At 23, I developed an intense fear of flying after a one off panic attack on a plane. At the time, anxiety (GAD) was taking over my life, but it was my fear of flying that heavily began to impact my ability to work, enjoy life, and of course - travel. When I found Les, we worked closely, and quickly, as I had a compulsory upcoming work trip that I didn't have a lot of notice for.

We had probably 10-12 sessions in a little over a month. I'd been to psychs for GAD before, and had been given valium to try and help me get on a plane, but the meds never reduced my panic enough to make the experience bearable. I missed flights, sitting at the gate, completely paralysed.

At first, I was a little skeptical with the first couple sessions, given that the approach was different than the CBT sessions I was used to. But I can honestly say working with Les completely shifted my perspective on how I approach - not only flying - but stressful and intense situations in work and life.

After the sessions, I got on the plane, no panic attack, no trembling, no tears. I felt empowered. I had done all the work, and I was so proud.

I'd be lying if I said the work wasn't, at times, hard, or confronting, or challenging. But if you're willing to put in the work, it is so incredibly worth it. Thank you Les!
