One of the better Indian restaurants in the Eastern Suburbs. They have very professional and friendly staff and it is quite an upmarket setting. The Indian cuisine was very flavoursome and tasty and there is a full bar. No need to get individual mains if you're in a group as there is more than enough if you enjoy sharing.

Approximate cost: $17.50

This place was recommended to us by one of our friends who had been their multiple time. Glad we went there, as we loved the place. The wait staffs were good and had friendly service. We had Palak paneer and chefs special duck. We loved it. The food was full of flavour and the servings were extremely generous . The price was reasonable for Doube bay and we will be going back again.

The plain Naan was okay, the garlic Naan was quite savory! Pricing was quite fair, portions are large and could easily be shared. Service was painfully slow, but the serve staff was quite pleasant and checked to make sure we were happy with our entree before bringing the mains out. I wish the mains had been prepared whilst we enjoyed the entrees, so there was not such a long wait. The location is ideal with street front parking and an easy walk from Circle Quay or the business district.

This is an Indian restaurant with a difference in that it has a very authentic Mauritian flavour and theme. Although located in Double Bay, the menu represents excellent value, given the very high standard of cuisine offered. Bukhara has a well stocked bar with a good selection of wines, beers and spirits. The menu has many varied Indian and Mauritian dishes to select from but the "Chef Degustation" is highly recommended for first time diners as it is a great introduction to their cuisine and well worth the price. The gorgeous (and very handsome) Mauritian waiters ensure that your dining experience is one that you will be raving to all about and definitely make you want to return many times again. Bookings in advance are recommended on special nights such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day etc as they are quite popular. The restaurant also offers a home delivery service for the local eastern suburbs area.
