Brought in my Mistubishi Delica to have the starter motor checked. Alex was super friendly, did a bang up job checking and putting a new connector on it and charged a very reasonable price. He also had a look at an old alternator I had in the back to see how much it might cost to repair, and also discussed the problems with the air conditioner. He is keen to explain to you what the problems are and how things work. I'll be bringing the van back to him to do the a/c, no hesitation.

I visited Alex to get our car's airconditioning re-gassed on the recommendation of our mechanic. He cleaned the system out and then re-gassed it - always quite meticulous about his work. I told him that last time we had it done (through someone else), it only lasted about a year so he added dye to the system and I'll go back in a week to see if he can find where the leak is (requires an ultra-violet light to see the dye). There was also a strange noise coming from the engine when the air-conditioning was running and we took the time to figure out that this was coming from the timing belt. He tightened this up and recommended we replace this somewhere else but didn't charge anything extra for this extra time spent on the car.
