They were friendly and offerred a prompt service. Fixed the problem as agreed at a fair price. Liked the no cost extras such as checking the water and oil even explained how my car radio worked so I could save stations to memory!

I'm not exaggerating when I give Rob and Connie the 5 star rating. They were both professional and friendly and the service was excellent.

The price is more than affordable and fair, as well as the quality and kindness through and through. Being a female, it can be difficult to know when you are being taken for a ride within the car industry, specifically mechanics, but Rob was an absolute star and was very honest throughout.

Alternator belt broke and needed replacing. Rob came out, inspected the damage and replaced both the broken alternator belt and the AC/PWRSteering belt (which was severely worn). He also performed several other checks to ensure that the incident hadn't damaged the engine further.

I found the service very convenient and time saving. The mechanic ( Rob) arrived on time and appeared to be very knowledgable about his trade. I found him to be honest about what needed to be done and about what could wait till later. Not greedy for the $. On test driving my car I found that it drove very smoothly and will now feel safer when driving. I will use the service again and would be happy to recommend the service to anyone. I'm happy!!

It might seem as I'm generous in my praise in that I've rated Rob & About Town in the highest category for all criteria - but that was honestly my experience. My car had been broken down for some time & after chatting to Rob he agreed to come to my home on that day to diagnose the problem. He arrived on time, found the problem (starter motor) very quickly, and had a replacement fitted for an agreed price. I was able to pay by bank transfer, and he even checked a problem my sister was having with her ignition while I was on the computer. Couldn't be happier !!!!

I had called About Town Mechanics after being annoyed and disappointed by another large mobile mechanic business and was very suprised and impressed by the service i received from About Town Mechanic Rob which was fantastic compaired to the other mechanic. Being a female i felt well respected by Rob, which normally wasnt the case and he didn't try and rip me off. Rob was fantasic, he was on time, very pleasant and especially understanding especially at the time of payment when my funds hadn't cleared in my account and i promised to pay the account first thing the following morning.

I have never met a more reliable and honest hard worker than Rob, his professionalism and his work ethic are second to none and he never ever does repairs without consulting the client first. My car wouldn't start in the morning. I called around to a few places with no luck or service. I saw About Town. Rob arrived within 2 hours and sourced the problem, it was fixed the same day and car has been running well since.
